The Tory Bush

The new leader of the Tory party in the UK appears to use the Bush strategy to temper fears about his conservatism. David Cameron in addressing the Conservative party conference said he would follow policies of 'compassionate conservatism'. There was also questions about whether he had used cocaine when he was younger. Sound familiar? It should be. George W. Bush used the same strategy. As for the success, it isn't there. Like Bush, Cameron is a right-winger who should not be trusted to look out for anyone besides business interests (maybe more so than Bush has in the US because of the lack of a base of evangelicals that he must satisfy). I don't particularly like Gordon Brown, but he's better than Cameron.
